Welcome to www.pitching-mechanics.org!!!
My name is Paul Nyman. I am the founder of SETPRO, Sports Engineering and Training Products. I started SETPRO in 1995 with basic bat speed training equipment. Since then SETPRO has expanded its product line and more importantly its understanding of how the body swings what(hitting mechanics*) AND throws (pitching mechanics*).
What SETPRO does with pitching mechanics and how it does it is based on the Internet. SETPRO is the only company to successfully provide remote hitting mechanicsin pitching mechanicsinstruction via the Internet.
Over this past 11 years I have also had a chance to observe firsthand the belief systems that many have regarding hitting, throwing and pitching mechanics and training. These observations come from my visiting the various baseball, hitting and pitching web sites which have online bulletin board systems and forums.
The first thing one has to realize is that ALL forums/web sites are agenda driven including this one.
Most forums and web sites are either social gatherings with little or no capability to coherently discuss hitting in pitching mechanics. Or they have forums and discussions that are nothing more than thinly disguised sales tools.
The forums that are nothing more than social gatherings have very little real interest in pursuing hitting in pitching mechanics other than offering opinions which have little or no factual information to support those opinions.
The forums that do "try" to discuss hitting in pitching mechanics are usually trying to sell books or videos resulting in information commentary biased toward whatever is being sold i.e. the forums are sales tools as opposed to having true intellectual curiosity as to how to best swing a bad or throw baseball.
This being said, it is my hope that www.pitching-mechanics.org and its sister site www.hitting-mechanics.org will fill a need. That need being a place dedicated to helping everyone with a serious interest in improving their baseball capabilities to better understand how to optimize their and their players abilities to throw baseball and swing a bad.
Both of these sites are "noncommercial".
No products are being sold. There will be links to those entities which support these forums with information and postings.
Thank you taking the time to visit. And I hope what you find here will keep you coming back and contributing whenever and wherever possible.
